Dialogue:

 huān yíng guāng lín qǐng wèn jǐ wèi ne
Waitress:    欢 迎 光 临 ！请 问 几 位 呢？

Welcome ! May I ask how many of you ?

liǎng wèi
Customer：          两 位   two people 

   Zhè ge wèi zhì kě yǐ ma
Waitress:          这个位置可以吗？  Is this location／these seats okay? 

*位置： seat，location

kě yǐ
Customer：  可 以   That is fine

    qǐng wèn xiǎng yào hē diǎn shén me
Waitress: 请 问 想 要 喝 点 什 么   What would you like to drink?

  yī bēi hóng jiǔ, yī bēi bīng zhèn guǒ zhī jī wěi jiǔ
Customer：   一杯红酒，一杯冰镇果汁鸡尾酒

  A glass of red wine, and a glass of icy, fruity cocktail

      kě yǐ diǎn cài le ma
Waitress:  可 以 点 菜 了 吗？Are you ready to order?

yǒu shén me kě yǐ tuī jiàn de ma
Customer：有 什 么 可 以 推 荐 的 吗？Any recommendations?

   shuǐ zhǔ yú shì wǒ men zhè lǐ de zhāo pái cài
Waitress:     水煮鱼是我们这里的招牌菜。。。

     Sliced fish in Hot Chili SzeChuan Style is our signature dish here…

    hēi jiāo niú liǔ yě hái bú cuò
                       黑椒牛柳也还不错

Beef fillet in Black Pepper Sauce is also not bad

hǎo yī fèn shuǐ zhǔ yú yī fèn hēi jiāo niú liǔ
Customer：    好，一份水煮鱼， 一份黑椒牛柳

Okay, one Szechuan fish, one beef flliet in black pepper. 

    tāng yào lái yī fèn ma
Waitress:   汤 要 来 一 份 吗？  Would you like some soup?
wǒ men zhè li yǒu hǎi xiān dòu fu tāng, pái gǔ tāng, yú tóu tāng
我 们 这 里 有 海 鲜 豆 腐汤、排 骨 汤、鱼 头 汤

We have Seafood Tofu soup, Pork Rib Soup, and Fish Head Soup. 

 hǎi xiān dòu fu tāng hǎo le
Customer： 海 鲜 豆 腐 汤 好 了

Seafood Tofu soup is fine. 

qīng cài yǒu ma
青 菜 有 吗？

Any vegetables?

 jiāng zhī jiè lán kě yǐ ma
Waitress: 姜 汁 芥 兰 可 以 吗？

Is Stir Fried Chinese Kale in Ginger Sauce okay?

Customer：可 以   Yes, that’s fine

 hǎo de, jiù zhè xiē le ma
Waitress: 好的，就这些了吗？

Okay, is there anything else I can help with (is this all you need)?

jiù zhè xiē le
Customer：就这些了   That is all I need 

méi wèn tí, mǎ shàng bāng nín ān pái
Waitress:    没 问 题，马 上 帮 您 安 排。

No problem, will arrange for you straight away.

Customer：服务员，结账  Waitress/waiter, can I please get the bill?

                       wǒ men méi yǒu diǎn guò zhè ge
Customer：我们没有点过这个  We’ve never ordered this

                     bù hǎo yì si wǒ men zài suàn yī biàn
Waitress:    不 好 意 思，我 们 再 算 一 遍。Sorry, let us calculate it again. 

                             hǎo ba yòng xìnyòngkǎ fù xièxie
Customer：       好吧，用信用卡付。谢谢  

                              Okay then,  pay by credit card, thank you.
