rìběn de chē hěnduō
日本的车很多  There are a lot of cars in Japan

de zhǐjiǎ yóu

Also to note that there is a difference between:

rìběn de chē               rìběn chē 

日本的车                       日本车

Cars in Japan             Japanese made cars e.g. Honda, Toyota

Universities in Xiamen     Xiamen University (University of Xiamen)

Not just things, but also apply to people,

地 de

Structure: adj. 地 verb  (to give advice, suggestion)

màn man de chī
慢慢地吃   eat slowly  (ask someone to eat slowly)

dàshēng de shuō
大声地说   speak loudly (ask someone to say it loudly)

得 dé

Structure:  verb 得  (很 hěn)adj

(describing an action)

chī dé hěn màn
     吃得很慢      eat slowly (suggesting someone is eating too slowly)

shuō dé hěn dàshēng
 说得很大声   speak loudly (suggesting someone is speaking too loudly)
